In keeping with the mission, philosophy and goals of the college, the Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) Program attempts to educate and prepare competent and responsible emergency medical technicians so that they can deliver the best quality health care to patients. In addition, the program fosters professionalism, personal growth and development, and self-actualization.
The goals of the EMT Program are to:
EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters are in very high demand. Almost all departments are currently hiring and pay is rising to meet the demand.

Ohio Revised Code allows high school students to enter the EMT program provided they are a senior in high school and at least 17 years of age.

State of Ohio Emergency Medical Technician-EMT
Students will be able to sit for the National Registry Exam when all course requirements are successfully completed and they have turned 18 years of age. Otherwise, they will have to wait to register for the exam until their 18th birthday.
