Campus Kids plans to reopen for the spring semester on January 19, 2021 to children, ages 3 to 6 (pre-kindergarten), of students who are taking classes on-campus only, and only for the time they are in class. Due to on-campus classes moving to remote instruction following the Thanksgiving break, Campus Kids will close beginning Thursday, November 26, 2020 with plans to reopen January 4, 2021.
To ensure the safety of our students, their children and our staff, we will follow guidance from the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Currently, the reduced staff to child ratio is one teacher per nine preschool children.
Due to the lower ratios, we cannot provide child care services for students taking remote classes or during study time, work/study or clinical experiences until further notice. Students will be required to provide their class schedule.
Campus Kids will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Cris Vanek at email@example.com or 440.525.7196 to enroll or for more information.
Lakeland Community College provides an on-site childcare center for the children of students who are enrolled in credit classes at the college or at the Holden University Center. Located in the L-Building in room L-01, the program serves children aged three to 10 with both full-time and part-time options available. The center requires that children be toilet trained at the start of the semester.
Students who are interested in using the center for their childcare needs and are eligible for financial aid are encouraged to include the costs in the funds needed for the semester.
Inquiries at Campus Kids are always welcome and appreciated. Contact us here with questions or to enroll.
Lakeland's Campus Kids is licensed by the state of Ohio, accredited by NAEYC and is a Step Up To Quality Five Star Award center.
There is a $7 registration fee and then the center charges $2.50 per hour, per child for children in their care.
