FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Energy

Lakeland Community College is committed to a program of energy conservation. The success of this program requires the cooperation of the entire College community. You can assist in conserving energy by closing windows at the end of the working day, turning off lights, air conditioners, computers and other office equipment in unoccupied areas and reporting leaking pipes and faucets to Facilities Management.

The College is also committed to providing an environment conducive to learning with appropriate lighting levels and space conditioning. The College will not sacrifice the quality of the environment just to save money. Efficiencies have been gained by upgrading lighting fixtures, installing occupancy sensors, and heating and ventilating controls. Through better energy management and conservation we will continue to save valuable resources and operational dollars without degrading the learning environment.
