The Veterans Center is here to support the path of educational success and personal development for veterans and military-connected students.
Lakeland Community College is committed to helping active duty personnel, veterans, reservists and dependents attain their personal and professional goals. The veterans center can help with questions about educational benefits, advice on how to fill out and complete VA forms and much more.
We serve veterans and their families in many ways, from helping secure educational benefits, to our on-campus lounge, to helping you connect with off-campus resources. Click the links below to learn how to enroll, the benefits you may be eligible for and the various programs offered both on and off campus to help ensure success in college and beyond.
Lakeland Community College employees do not receive incentive payments for recruiting service members. The college does not aggressively contact service members or engage in same-day recruitment and registration for the purpose of securing service member enrollments.
It is the policy of Lakeland Community College to ensure that any student whose absence from an institution of higher education is necessitated by reason of service in the armed services shall be entitled to readmission upon return from military service without an application if:
- the cumulative length of the absence does not exceed five years;
- the student submits a notification of intent to reenroll to the registrar; and
- the student's service did not end in dishonorable or bad conduct discharge or dismissal.
Lakeland Community College is committed to the 8 Keys to Veteran Success.
Lakeland's Veterans Center is proud to be a Military Friendly® school.
Lakeland Community College was recently designated as a 2022 Purple Star School by the Ohio Department of Education. The Purple Star Award recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation's military.
