EXPRESS COUNSELING AND ADVISING
Beginning Aug. 11, register for an express counseling and advising session! MORE INFO

Lakeland is offering Express Counseling and Advising (ECA) sessions that are specially designed to help you move through the registration process quickly so you can start classes right on time.

It's simple. Beginning Aug. 11, register for an ECA session in Schedule It through your myLakeland account. The steps to reserve your spot are below:

  • Sign up for a one-hour time slot that works best for you
  • New this year – time slots will be available by phone or in person!
    • A counselor will call you sometime within your reserved time slot OR
    • Check in at the Student Service Center at the beginning of your in-person time slot and a counselor will see you during that hour.
  • Leave with a plan to get you started for your fall classes.
Express Counseling and Advising hours are:
  • Monday, Aug. 15 | 10 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. (last time slot at 4:30 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Aug. 16 – Thursday, Aug. 18 | 8 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. (last time slot at 4:30 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug. 19 | 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (last time slot at 10:30 a.m.)
  • Monday Aug. 22 – Thursday, Aug. 25 | 8 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. (last time slot at 4:30 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug. 26 | 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (last time slot at 10:30 a.m.)
  • Monday, Aug. 29 - Tuesday, Aug. 30 | 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (last time slot at 4:30 p.m.)

To reserve your time slot, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to myLakeland
  2. Click the "Student" tab.
  3. In the left-hand column under Quick Tools, click on the "Schedule It" icon.
  4. Click "Schedule Express Counseling and Advising."
  5. Select a time and format: A1003 (in person) or Phone Call.
  6. Click "Reserve."

A confirmation email with important information will be sent to your Lakeland student email.

Counseling and advising is available both in person and remotely via Webex! Please contact us at 440.525.7200 to schedule a meeting with a counselor.

  • Psychological Counseling: Lakeland's campus psychologist is available to help students succeed in pursuing their education when personal, emotional or family problems may be interfering with their studies.

Health Information Sessions

If a student is interested in any of the following health technology degree programs, Health Information Session appointments can be scheduled by contacting the Lakeland Student Service Center at 440.525.7050. Health technology programs include: 

  • Dental hygiene, health information management technology, histotechnology,  medical laboratory technology, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy and surgical technology.
