Support for PCs and printers located in labs and offices across all campus locations are provided by the Desktop Support team. PC and Macintosh deployment, upgrade and repair are some of their areas of responsibility. Current operating system and application software is regularly loaded and configured in support of the academic curriculum. The campus strategy for operation system and office software is updated annually along with plans for replacing older and/or obsolete desktop systems. Currently enrolled Lakeland students who need to work outside of class have access to the Open Computer labs.

Student Open Lab Usage Rules:

  • The labs are intended for academic use by currently enrolled Lakeland Students only
  • No food or drink in the labs
  • No children or excessive noise permitted
  • Only authorized Lakeland software should be used. No outside software or games are to be loaded or run on the PCs.
