Lakeland is organized into academic divisions focusing on workforce development, and general education leading to bachelor's and advanced degrees:
- Associate degrees for transfer (Arts and Sciences)
- Degrees & certificates for workforce (Applied Studies)
- Bachelor's & graduate degrees (Holden University Center programs)
Lakeland Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
In recognition of high academic achievement, a Dean's List is compiled for each of the fall and spring semesters. Lakeland's Provost has the responsibility for compiling the list. Full and part-time students are eligible for recognition.
