Effective March 17, 2020 until further notice, HIVE Makerspace will be closed to the public.
Exceptions will be made for student projects that have been assigned by a Lakeland instructor (students should check their Lakeland email for further instructions). We realize the impact that this has on our maker community and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please know that this decision has not been easy for our team to make, but at this time we believe it is the best way to maintain the health and well-being of our students, employees, and the community.
Additionally, all training sessions, workshops and HIVE-sponsored events have been cancelled for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester. If you are currently registered for a spring workshop in HIVE, be on the lookout for an email with opportunities to reschedule for a later date.
Schedule subject to change. Please check our Related Events for updates and workshop offerings, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is our story. We're creators, collaborators, thinkers, explorers, instigators, dreamers and doers. We think side-by-side. We work hand-in-hand. And we solve problems, together. We come here to seek the best for ourselves, our campus and our community. And when we leave, we use this mindset to shape the world.
Our mission is to be a catalyst for individual confidence and community connection by offering a place for hands-on learning, collaborative problem-solving, design thinking and creative experimentation to prepare students for success in college, career and life.
Register for trainings and workshops or signup for a tour or equipment reservation.
