The
purpose of the center is to assist students in the pursuit
of excellent writing.
When visiting the Writing Center, please bring a copy of your
assignment; even if you're at the brainstorming stage, we can
discuss your topic and plans with you.
We encourage you not to wait till the paper's due date to come
in, If you do so, there will be little time to revise. The sooner
you bring in your project, the better we can help.
How do I schedule an appointment at the writing
center?
To schedule an appointment, call the Learning Center at 440-525-7019
or log in to myLakeland and
access the Learning Center/Writing center channel from the
student tab.
How many appointments can I schedule?

session is available.
How many days ahead can I schedule an appointment?
The schedule will show the current day and one week past the
current day. The only days shown are the days when the tutoring
center is open (Currently Monday through Thursday) and a
writing center tutor is working.
Why do I need to select a class before reserving an appointment?
The Learning Center maintains records of which classes students
are requesting tutoring and writing center sessions. Also,
an email is sent each week to the instructors to let them
know that you are making the extra effort by attending tutoring
or writing center sessions.
How far in advance can I cancel a writing center appointment?
You can cancel up to 2 hour(s) before your session starts.
This time is needed to allow another student to use the timeslot.

access the Learning Center/Writing center channel from the
student tab to schedule, view, and
cancel your writing center appointments.
