The Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division of Lakeland Community College is dedicated to developing workforce talent, strengthening businesses, promoting economic success and participating in the development of a vibrant community in the area we serve.

Hundreds of employees receive top-notch training at Lakeland in different skills and levels each year, benefitting both the employer, the employee and the bottom line.

Did you know that those who use noncredit workforce development and continuing education programs at Lakeland:

- Have diverse educational backgrounds?
- Tend to be older and interested in gaining relevant job skills?
- May not be interested in credit programs?

However, sometimes participants enjoy the noncredit courses so much that they decide to pursue a for-credit program. If that's the case, we help them over the noncredit bridge which can lead them to becoming a degree-seeking student.
