Allied Health

Degree programs can lead to careers in such fields as Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Dietetics & Nutritional Management, Health Information management, Medical Assisting, Mental Health Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiological Technology, Respiratory Care and Surgical Technology.

Business Technology

Degree programs can lead into careers in such fields as Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, Law and Legal Assisting, Management, Marketing, and Office Information Systems.

Criminal Science

Multiple career opportunities are available through federal, state, local and private agencies in a variety of cluster careers such as environmental, emergency management, transportation and corporate security. Careers such as police officer, deputy sheriff, highway patrol, corrections officer, metro parks, FBI, ATF, drug enforcement, forensic science and the US Military, all serve to provide public safety under the umbrella of Homeland Security.

Electronic & Computer Technology

Employment opportunities for electronics technicians are available as electronics service and maintenance technicians, or as computer field service technicians.

Engineering Cluster

Design technicians may work in many areas including product design and development and manufacturing and production for organizations ranging from large national corporations to small local shops. The need for technicians with CAD skills has exploded as companies take on this new technology.

Employment opportunities for entry level technicians and engineering designers are available with large and small engineering and design firms, manufacturing corporations, and tool shops.

Interactive Media Technology

Graduates from this program can work in a variety of creative fields including graphic design, photography, video production, interactive design, and web design.

Information Technology

The Information Technology program at Lakeland Community College can prepare you for a career in the growing area of computer programming. You will acquire applied technical knowledge along with training in management, accounting and developing structured programs for business applications using computer languages such "C", "C++", and Visual Basic.
