Description of Hispanic Outreach:

The Hispanic Leadership Program is a new, grant-funded program at Lakeland Community College. The program's goal is to assist Hispanic students in succeeding in their academic pursuits at Lakeland, while helping to develop leadership skills that will aid them in being successful in the work environment. Participating in the new Hispanic Leadership program is an opportunity to: obtain information about financial aid; have fun and meet other Hispanic students; join meetings discussing the special needs of the Hispanic students; obtain information about Internships and network for employment!

Lakeland offers many opportunities for Hispanic students to get involved. One way Hispanic students can get involved is by joining one of more than two dozen student organizations at Lakeland. Social clubs and organizations exist as do ones related to academic programs. There are also intercollegiate and intramural sports available.
