Get to Know Your Lakeland I.D. # (LID)
To help protect your privacy, Lakeland
Community College has assigned a Lakeland I.D. number (LID) to you.
This number is a different number than your social security number.
This personal number will be yours forever.
Beginning Summer 2005, you will be able to access your academic
records and register through web access using this LID.
Do I need a Lakeland I.D. card?
You do not need a Lakeland I.D. card to use your LID. If you want
a free Lakeland I.D. card, visit the Athletic
Fitness Center
Hours:
M-Th 7:30a - 10p
F 7:30a - 8p
S & S 9a - 4p
You may use this card for:
· Gym admission
· Free Laketran pass
· Photo ID
· Lakeland library use/access
Will I need my social security # at LCC?
Yes. You will need to provide your SS # for financial aid, selective
service compliance, and IRS reporting of the Hope Scholarship Credit
and when you initially apply to the college, but it will not be
used other than required by law.
How do I find out what my LID is?
It will be printed on all of your schedules, financial aid notices,
and tuition bills where your social security number was previously
printed as well as on the bottom portion of your schedule, which
is used to pay tuition.
What if I forget my LID?
Present a photo I.D. at the Admissions
Office and you will be given your LID number.
Get
to Know your NEW Lakeland E-mail Account
A new and groundbreaking student e-mail system
has been installed, providing Lakeland Community College students
an e-mail address to the college. To improve communication with
students, e-mail has become the preferred method of communication
for students, administrators, and faculty.
The new student e-mail service will enable
all currently enrolled students to have a college web e-mail address
that can be accessed anywhere in the world where Internet access
is available (like the library or open lab computers).
The e-mail address is in the form username@mail.lakelandcc.edu,
where username is your first initial and last name plus a number.
Your storage space is 10mb and attachments
are limited to 2mb.
Be aware that if you forward your e-mail to
an external mail provider (such as Hotmail) and if this external
account is not in full working order (i.e. over quota or disabled)
you may miss important official college messages.
Your username is on the enclosed schedule
near the payment section and your initial password will be your
LID also located on the schedule, top left-hand side. You will change
your password the first time you use the student e-mail system.
To access your e-mail, go to the Lakeland
home page at www.lakelandcc.edu and click the link Login
for Student Email.
