        <question>Can financial aid be used to cover on-line classes?</question>
        <answer>Yes, financial aid can be used to pay for on-line classes if the student is degree seeking or in an approved certificate program.  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the number of credits for which you enroll will be used to determine the amount of aid you will receive.</answer>

        <question>Do I need to have my instructor complete an Attendance Report for my On-Line classes?</question>
        <answer>Your instructor will verify attendance.  You will need to check with your instructor on what they define as &quot;attending the class.&quot; If the Financial Aid Office cannot verify your Attendance in your On-Line class, you will be asked to submit a paper attendance report signed by your instructor.</answer>

        <question>What happens if I drop an On-Line class?
        </question>
        <answer>
If the class is dropped after the close of the refund period and if your attendance in the class has been verified, your financial aid will not be adjusted.  If you drop an on-line class prior to the end of the refund period, your financial aid may be adjusted accordingly.
<liF>If you drop all of your classes prior to the end of the term, you may be billed for a percentage of the financial aid you received.</liF>
<liF>Withdrawing from classes may affect your ability to continue receiving Financial Aid.</liF>

        <question>Can I use my financial aid to purchase a computer or other items needed for my on-line class?</question>
        <answer>If you are receiving federal financial aid, you may use your funds in the bookstore to purchase items needed for your class.  In addition, your refund check may be used to purchase a computer or related items for your class.
<liF>Lakeland Community College does offer the Parker-Hannifin Student Technology Grant.  The grant can be used to assist a student in purchasing a computer or related materials for his/her classes.  Applications are available on campus and on-line during the first week of classes for fall and spring semesters.  In order to be considered, you must have completed one semester at Lakeland.</liF>
