<question>Using Blackboard's Assignment Feature</question>
<answer>The first step is to complete the assignment in the manner specified by your instructor. Once you are ready to submit your assignment,
<liF>click on the View/Complete link</liF>
<liF>in the new screen that appears, use the browse button to browse for your document and upload it to this online assignment sheet form (upload it just as you would add an attachment to an email message) </liF>
<liF><![CDATA[ if you have any extra thoughts you want to share with your instructor about this assignment, type them into the "Comments" field above the "browse" button ]]></liF>
<liF><![CDATA[ finally, when you're all ready to send what you've produced, click the Submit button. NOTE: Clicking the "Save" button will simply save your work so that you can come back to it later and work on it some more; clicking the "Save" button will not send anything to your instructor. In order to send something to your instructor, you must click "Submit." ]]></liF>

<question>The dreaded 'lock' symbol</question> <picture>../Images/examLocked.jpg</picture>
<answer>This symbol occurs when something goes wrong. Several things could have occured
(a) Your internet connection stopped working, (b) your browser or computer
crashed, (c) you pressed the back button on your browser (rather than the
'previous' button for one-question-at-a-time exams), or (d) you pressed
'Save' instead of 'Submit'. After you take a quiz or exam, or submit an
assignment using the assigment feature, you should always check the gradebook
to ensure your work was submitted properly. </answer>

<question>Is there a way to upload test or quiz questions as a batch rather than creating them one at a time in the Test Canvas?</question>
<answer>Yes. You can create the test or quiz as a specially-formatted text file, send it to the Instructional Technology folks, and they can use a software tool called Respondus to upload all the questions at once. Contact the Instructional Technology team for details. http://www.lakelandcc.edu/dl</answer>
