PEHR
1650 Health Fitness
NOTE: This
course requires regular exercise sessions
at the
Lakeland Athletic Center
This course introduces students
to the development of optimal fitness and wellness
lifestyles. The course emphasizes aerobic conditioning,
nutrition, body composition, muscle strength and
endurance flexibility, skill-related fitness components,
and early detection and prevention of disease,
and alcohol, tobacco, and drug abuse. Laboratory
experiences assess fitness classifications and
participation in regular cardiovascular exercises.
A On-Campus orientation is required
also, the online orientation
cannot be used as a substitute, both are necessary.
