Lakeland’s Adult Accelerated Degree Program provides more
learning options for adult students that fit your
busy life. It is often difficult to balance home
and work, let alone trying to earn a degree. Lakeland’s
Adult Accelerated Degree Program schedule makes it easier to maintain
the balance in your life while achieving your
education goals.
Courses are offered in the evenings and on Saturdays
for five weeks.
During the semester, there are three five-week
sessions
allowing students more scheduling flexibility.
The schedule has been structured so that it
is
possible for students to attend full-time,
taking between 16 – 18 credit hours per
semester and complete the course of study in
two years.
Degree Options available in Adult Accelerated Degree Program include:
- Associate of Arts
- Associate of Applied Business - General Management
Option
The content of the courses taught in the Adult Accelerated Degree Program is the same as courses taught in the traditional
format. The primary difference is that a Adult Accelerated Degree Program course has approximately half the amount
of face-to-face class time as a traditional course.
In order to achieve the learning objectives for
each course and account for the reduced class
time, Adult Accelerated Degree Program students have an increased
amount of out-of-classroom work.
