FATHERS
AND MOTHERS FOR EQUAL RIGHTS
Fathers and Mothers for Equal Rights (FMER)
is a Cleveland based organization whose goal is to restore equal rights
for all parties affected by divorce, the break-up of a family, or when
children are born to unmarried parents. We believe that laws and policies
should promote equal responsibility for both parents.
We are not lawyers and cannot provide you
with legal advice. We can, however, give direction so that you will be
able to help yourself and be able to understand the laws. Among it's functions,
FMER:
- Provides information and direction to
help you enforce parental rights or those of your children
- Conducts educational meetings and forums
- Provides access to a WEB site and bulletin
board with relevant research and legal information and information on
national and state activities
- Is and active lobbyist, providing testimony
before Legislative hearings at the State Capitol.
- E-mail and mailings with news on local
and national events
Addtionally, FMER sponsors a weekly radio show,
Is There Justice In The Domestic Relations Courts, on WKNR 850 AM at 9:05 p.m.
on Tuesday evenings. The show is co-hosted by former Magistrate Joel Sacco, Cuyahoga
County Domestic Relations Court, and Neal Grossman, Director of Fathers and Mothers
for Equal Rights.
