There are many ways to research career choices. It is important to read as much information as you can about job tasks, educational requirements, salary information and job outlook for the future to help with your decision- making.

There are many possible career choices within the field of Biotechnology itself depending upon the educational level that you desire to achieve.
There are laboratory careers in biomedical research, manufacturing, agriculture and the food industry.

There are also many different biotech career areas that can be pursued outside the laboratory such as legal careers, business careers and regulatory compliance careers.

For example, you could be a patent lawyer in the Biotech Industry, an Administrator or Manager for a biotech company or working in the regulatory field such as the Food and Drug Administration or the Environmental Protection Agency.
