In Northeast Ohio, Ursuline
College and Lakeland
Community College have a joint program, which enables graduates
of Lakeland’s two year technical degree in Bioscience to move
seamlessly into the Ursuline baccalaureate program in Biology.
This collaboration involves the benefits of technical
“hands-on” training and the philosophical experiences
of a 4 year degree.
Students participating in this partnership will
have an opportunity to complete up to three internship and/or cooperative
education opportunities as part of their educational program. Cooperative
Education is a paid experience during which students are expected
to spend at least two semesters at an off-campus worksite.
Students will assist the employer in the accomplishment
of learning goals and tasks, while learning more about their field
of study.
