A long telephoto lens can be used for flower photography. Here I used a teleconverter/telephoto lens combination to isolate a flower against an out of focus background. Vibration due to hand holding induces just a touch of soft focus. Dual traces in background buds are due to an image stabilization mechanism operating in the lens.
