Observations are important in Biological Digital Imaging. Seeing events happen presents opportunities for documentation. Good technique and patience allows potential to capture an image. Sometimes luck plays a part. I was watching this small predatory fly as it captured smaller flies in flight, impaling them with its piercing mouthparts. This smaller fly was obviously a female, going about its business of laying eggs somewhere within my garden. A crossing of paths that proved unfortunate for the smaller fly.
