If you want to talk with someone about how to get a positive start in college, we have:

  • Individual appointments
  • Group Information Sessions
  • COUN 1001 - Orientation to College

Counselors are available to:

  • Discuss basic skills in Math, Reading, and English by reviewing scores of COMPASS (Lakeland's Placement Test) and/or ACT/SAT
  • Discuss program requirements
  • Assist with appropriate course selection
  • Assess your prior college coursework
  • Evaluate your degree/certificate semester before graduating
  • Review college transfer material
  • Review the transfer module
  • Offer you COUN 1300 (Skills for College Success)
