The Lakeland Staff Association (LSA) is your
voice at
Lakeland
and, through its elected
officers, serves as your liaison with
Lakeland
's
administration in the development of policies and procedures that impact on
your benefits and job satisfaction. Membership is open to all full- and
part-time staff.
The staff at
Lakeland
is encouraged
to participate in the meetings of the Association. This allows each
individual to have a forum to discuss current policies and procedures as well
as any other staff concerns. In addition, the LSA periodically sponsors
college wide social functions such as a picnic or holiday party.
We urge you to join the Lakeland Staff
Association. Membership is strictly voluntary, however. The dues
are $5.00, paid annually. Membership in the LSA gives you the right to
vote on issues at the meetings and for officers in the yearly election.

• Staff Professional Development Fund and Professional Development Leave of Absence
• Designated lockers in the AFC for staff employees
• AFC passes for eligible dependents
• Part-time, non-continuing staff are recognized for service awards and eligible for the
Employee of the Semester award
• Long-term, non-continuing employees made continuing
• Increased annual raises for part-time staff employees
