Classes
in theatre include the following: two survey courses in the history of theatre;
classes in voice and movement, scene study, set construction, and lighting and
sound. Students are also afforded opportunities to perform in the Lakeland Civic
Theatre.
Our faculty are drawn from the ranks of professional actors/directors
and those who currently work in radio and television broadcasting. Students work
with state-of-the-art technology and gain a great deal of hands-on work experience. The
Lakeland Civic Theatre performs in a 400 seat auditorium in the Performing Arts
Center. Students can also fine tune their skills in the fields of radio, television
or theatre through our cooperative education opportunities in performing arts. |
