Lakeland has a fantastic opportunity for at home learning and working with our new Online Medical Transcription Certificate! The US Department of Labor predicts that jobs for medical transcriptionists will grow faster than average through 2010. Growth is expected due to the increase in older adults in the US and their increased need for medical care. Local companies report an increased need for skilled medical transcriptionists to work from home as independent contractors.

Medical Transcription on-line prepares you to work from home for local or national transcription companies or medical facilities. Good typing skills are required along with experience in MicroSoft Word.  A high speed Internet provider on your home computer is a must.
