Nature Hunt!! Can you find it, see it, dig it, and appreciate it?

Everybody has a vested interest in knowing what events occur around them. However, in our increasingly complicated, technical lives we lose sight of our origins and connections. Nature Hunt is for anyone who might care to take time to passively view or actively seek out some of the simple, mundane facts in the lives of other organisms. It is my belief, as a biologist/ecologist, these are gifts to ourselves, helping us find meaning and priority in our lives as we pursue simplicity, beauty, peace, and ultimate connection to the ebb and flow of life.

Those wishing to passively share experiences and thoughts of a biologist-naturalist-photographer can access the image library, a work-in-progress compilation of images and text for you to enjoy. It is a small sampling of what I might see and how I feel.

For those willing to seek out their own experience on a weekly or biweekly basis I offer the What's Happening! page. On this page I will offer more recent and timely observations as incentive for those willing to venture forth to duplicate a sighting shown on this page. As always there is no guarantee of success in finding these but even casual attempts uncover many other simple observations of intrigue and value.
