			NOCHE/NEOSA: Information Technology & Computer Science

NEOSA is the information technology trade association for Northeast Ohio, with the mission of fostering an environment that will encourage growth and development of the area's information technology-based companies to compete in a global market.

Founded originally as the Northeast Ohio Software Association, NEOSA is a professional trade association established to promote the Information Technology (IT) industry in Ohio. It encourages industry networking, development of Ohio as a location for technology businesses, and generally assists the tech field and those involved with it.

The Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education (NOCHE) is identified as an effective advocacy and coordinating organization for higher education in the region. It is comprised of 22 members which include public and private, 2 and 4 year institutions. It's trustees includes presidents of members and leaders from community and business. The goal of NOCHE is the building of a strong economy through an educated workforce.

The NOCHE membership is comprised of colleges and universities with a variety of missions, academic programs and sources of financial support. The membership includes four major research universities, seven institutions with a significant presence in both graduate and baccalaureate education, three liberal arts colleges, four institutions with a specific disciplinary focus, and three large community colleges.

NOCHE is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of the presidents of each member institution, and an elected group of public trustees who provide additional insight and direction with respect to key regional issues and the needs and expectations for higher education held by key stakeholders.
